dress with a twist for Lily

dress with a twist by Anna & Heidi Pickles

I thought the first dress was a little long therefore this one is about 2 inches shorter. I added the extra color at the top of the dress instead of the bottom with a little 2 color work at the transition to add interest. Since I’m not fond of boat neck neckline I also lowered the front about ten rows for a high rounded neckline. The only thing missing is little Lily for whom the dress was made for her 4th birthday. (she is my blonde model in my first edition of this dress) She liked it so well that I made her one for her birthday.

Notes
I used addi tubo click lace needles on short cable. Kitchener stitch at shoulder adds to the difficulty. The first few rows after the cable cross over are a challenge to knit. Luckily my cables are very flexible.
